Ask a questionCan a foreigner buy a condo in Thailand?
Yes. Thai law allows a foreigner to buy an apartment freehold, in their own name, as long as foreigners own no more than 49% of the total floor area of the apartments in the residence. The money must come from abroad in foreign currency. Our advisors will tell you which units are still available under this quota.
What is leasehold?
It is a 30-year lease registered in your name at the Land Office, the longest term that can be registered in Thailand. It is open to all buyers, with no quota and no requirement to transfer funds from abroad.
Who is the developer?
The Astra Samui is developed by Ornsirin Holding, a developer listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, through its subsidiary Northhome Co., Ltd. The Astra brand already has three residences in Chiang Mai, and this is the group's first project in Koh Samui. The project has three buildings and 237 apartments on a plot of about 17,600 sqm in Bophut.
How big are the apartments?
Studios measure about 26 sqm, 1-bedroom apartments 34 to 35 sqm, 1-bedroom plus apartments 40 to 48 sqm and 2-bedroom apartments 62 to 73 sqm. The floor plans of each apartment type are in the brochure.
Where exactly is the residence?
In Bophut, on the north coast of Koh Samui. Bophut beach is 500 m away and Fisherman's Village 850 m. The airport is 7.3 km away.
When will prices be announced?
